Our educators regularly participate in advanced training sessions and continuing education classes to ensure that they are always up-to-date with fresh ideas and sound teaching principles.

Educational Director and Team Leader
Beth has returned Wilbraham United Church Nursery School, where she served as Director/Lead Teacher from 1983-1985. She is a graduate of Westfield State College with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor Early Childhood. Ms. Estabrook also holds a Masters degree in Counseling from Springfield College. She has 3 years of other daycare / early childhood experience in Boston and West Springfield as a teacher and Director. After 25 years of teaching in the Wilbraham public school district, she is happy and excited to return to WUCNS and preschool teaching.
Ms. Carmichael has been with Wilbraham United Church Nursery School for many years serving as both a Lead Teacher and Assistant teacher within the program. She has a degree in Elementary Education from Adams State College.
Ms. Carmichael is the Team Teacher for Mrs. Prez's classroom 5 days a week.
Tanya Presz returns as a Team Leader, 5 days a week, after spending two years as a substitute teacher at Wilbraham United Church Nursery School. Mrs. Presz was a long term substitute for 5 months before becoming a permanent staff member. Mrs. Presz graduated from Assumption College with a Bachelors degree in English and a minor in Communications. She also earned a Masters in Secondary Education with concentrations in English Language Arts and Special Education from American International College. Mrs. Presz taught three years in a private school before working as a Special Education Teacher at Converse Middle School in Palmer, MA where she taught for 9 years. Mrs. Presz is very excited to be back at WUCNS.
Laura Hastings comes to us with over 10+ years of teaching experience with children from infant to pre-K. She has completed her college work through Berkshire Community College and completed numerous Department of Elementary Education and Care (DEEC) courses in early childhood trainings. Mrs. Hastings also completed a course through the Valley Opportunity Council in Holyoke, a literary based program. Mrs. Hastings will bring great enthusiasm and affection for the students. She will be the Team Teacher in Ms. Estabrook's classroom.
